Join the new Community Review Panel

The council is launching a new panel, comprising local people, to comment on plans for future development in Old Kent Road.

The area is undergoing a major transformation and the council wants to deliver this growth in a way that benefits the 35,000 people who already live in the area. So it’s essential that the views of the community are heard and that local people have a say in decision-making.

The Community Review Panel will be one of the ways in which this is done.

The council wants to recruit 15 local people to be members of the panel for at least a year. The membership should comprise people of all backgrounds and ages (18 or over) and you don’t need any experience or knowledge of planning or architecture to participate.

Southwark especially wants to hear from people who may not already be involved with a community group, and whose voice is not currently being heard.
