Action OKR has launched its urban room hub in the new community space at 231 Old Kent Road.
The community organisation will be sharing the space with Southwark Council and other local community groups. Action OKR will be hosting an informal welcome event on 23 April.
231 Old Kent Road is a new space for local residents, businesses, community groups and other partners to share ideas and engage with the proposals for Old Kent Road and the future of the neighbourhood.
Action OKR is a local initiative representing a number of community groups in the area, including Peckham Weeklies, Vital OKR, businesses, residents and Cass Cities. The organisation has been given use of a part of 231 on a regular basis which will allow it to continue its community engagement work and to take it up a notch too.
Action OKR will celebrate its arrival with a drop-in from 6-9pm on Tuesday 23 April.
There will be drinks and snacks followed by a short presentation about Action OKR’s work so far.
There will also be a chance to catch the Museum of Us exhibition if you haven’t already.
